NUIG will be hosting their annual Galway Science and Technology Exhibition this Sunday (24th November) It’s all about Climate Action at this year's fantastic exhibition.  Children will be able to attend workshops on chemistry, biology and physics and visit the teddy bear hospital, a gaming truck and coding exhibit. This week is Science week and to celebrate it we had a workshop from NUIG on K-nex. Maura came in to show us all about how K-Nex works. We used our engineering brains to create different things such as hammers, spammers and cars with motors. We had great fun working in pairs to build the different objects!!

Before the Halloween break we had a cupcake party in Second Class! We got some cupcakes and decorated them with different icing and sweet toppings. Our class won a certificate for the best behaviour in the junior end of the school and this was our reward.  e were all super proud of ourselves!

We went on a 2D shape hunt today. We were searching for things in our school that are shaped like a square, rectangle, triangle, circle, semi-circle and oval! We were shocked at the amount of different shapes we saw and learned that Maths is all around us everywhere we go!!
