First class took a special trip to GMIT to participate in two Science related workshops. The first workshop involved looking at the different components that make up our blood. We then got to make our own blood using sweets! After that we went to one of the lecture halls to listen to some GMIT students and lecturers tell us all about healthy food. This week we were asked to complete two STEM challenges. The first one was to create our name in 3D and the second was to make a bridge that our toy cars could drive over. The work that has been put in so far has been amazing! The boys and girls should be so proud of themselves. They have already shown themselves to be mini engineers!! Well done. Hot Chocolate Challenge

For the month of December we took part in a hot chocolate challenge! We earned cubes for good listening, showing 5, neat handwriting, being kind to one another and working hard. We had to fill our Christmas jar full of cubes in order to get the hot chocolate. Fortunately, we were all very well behaved and enjoyed a well deserved hot chocolate and movie for our amazing behaviour and hard work put in this term!
