Scratch Coding!

We had a coding lesson from the wonderful people in SAP! They showed us how to make our very own band using Scratch. We learnt so many new things and had great fun! We even got our own certificates afterwards!!

This week we were asked to complete two STEM challenges. The first one was to create our name in 3D and the second was to make a bridge that our toy cars could drive over. The work that has been put in so far has been amazing! The boys and girls should be so proud of themselves. They have already shown themselves to be mini engineers!! Well done. Trip to GMIT!

First class took a special trip to GMIT to participate in two Science related workshops. The first workshop involved looking at the different components that make up our blood. We then got to make our own blood using sweets! After that we went to one of the lecture halls to listen to some GMIT students and lecturers tell us all about healthy food. A brilliant day out was had by all 😊
